Are you looking for faster PHP documentation generator? One with small memory footprint? One, which offers more features? Then we might be just that! We're growing fast, we go agile from scratch. We have no hacks to maintain, no issues to stay in our way. We have a clear vision and we code it open source. Current stable version is 1.0.0.

What's the difference?

We acknowledge there is established competition out there. It just doesn't suit our needs. We are different:

  • Significant speed improvement

    We can do in 20 seconds what competition does in 2 minutes. True story.

    For example, only 20 seconds to generate documentation for the whole phing.

  • Smaller memory footprint

    We can go with 37 MB where competition grabs 630 MB. Sad story. This is why we started scodPhp.

    Our engine computes data upon actual rendering, i.e. on-the-fly. No need to pre-compute and keep everything.

  • Missing DocBlocks, errors in parameters

    Reports of missing documentation are a must. We include reports of errors in method parameters as well.

    We can even throw exceptions upon missing documentation to force you to document (optional of course :-)

  • Inheritance, inclusion, repeaters

    To be or not to be? Re-document children or just inherit documentation from their parents?

    One-line syntax to inherit documentation. You can even inherit text from unrelated elements or files.

  • New features as you request them

    We grow fast and we mean it. You request a feature and before you realize, you're using it.
